What is CherryFill?

Do I need a Tally.so account?

Yes, CherryFill works with your existing Tally forms. You'll need a Tally.so account with at least one form.

Is there a free plan?

Yes! The free plan includes 3 active timers and 30 lifetime submissions. It's a great way to try CherryFill before upgrading.

Can respondents see the timer?

Yes, respondents always see the countdown timer. You can choose from three display styles: top bar, floating pill, or minimal circle.

What happens when time expires?

Respondents see a notification that time is up. They can still submit, but the submission is marked as 'Late' so you have full visibility.

Does the timer auto-submit?

No. Due to how Tally forms are embedded, auto-submit isn't possible. Respondents submit manually, and you see who went over time in your dashboard.

How does CherryFill connect to Tally?

You connect using your Tally API key. This allows CherryFill to list your forms and fetch submission data securely.

Does CherryFill modify my forms?

No, CherryFill never modifies your Tally forms. Your forms remain exactly as you created them. We simply embed them with a timer.

What counts as a submission?

A submission is counted when a respondent completes and submits the Tally form. Starting an exam but not submitting doesn't count.
